What we did

This garden had beautiful roses and a couple of large shrubs, but the floor of the flowerbed had disappeared.

A meeting with the garden owner established that what was needed was low maintenance, drought resistant planting with a preference for plants that would tie into the existing colour scheme of pink, creams and yellow. Lavenders, aquilegias and plants with purple/blue spikes were a favourite.

The back garden was north facing so the main flowerbed was planted with shade tolerant plants as it would sit in the house’s shadow for most of the day.

On the deck the existing pots were re-sited and 5 flowerpots containing drought resistant grasses were added to give interest.

What the customer said

I just want to say a huge thank you to Susan who has made my garden into a fairy paradise with a wonderful selection of plants and flowers!

The whole process was so enjoyable! Susan devised a plan as to which plants would achieve the kind of garden I had in mind.

We then had a fun trip to the nursery where I got to see all the flowers on the plan – and got to choose a few more!

Then I chose to join Susan planting and in the end we had a wonderful creation that just keeps on giving!!

Thank you Susan so much for giving me such a delightful garden to enjoy!
